Emma Delaney, a BP executive vice president, was appointed CEO of Austrian energy company OMV, becoming the first woman to hold the role in the company’s history.<\/p>\n
OMV’s Supervisory Board formalized Ms Delaney’s appointment as chairwoman of the Executive Board and CEO on 21 April. She will succeed Alfred Stern, who will conclude his mandate on 31 August, and is set to serve an initial three-year term from 1 September, with an option to extend by a further two years.<\/p>\n
Ms Delaney joined BP in 1995 and has spent the past six years leading its customers and products business, overseeing an organization of more than 50,000 employees across approximately 50 countries spanning fuels, lubricants, aviation fuels and e-mobility.<\/p>\n
Also on 21 April, OMV’s Supervisory Board extended the mandate of Reinhard Florey, CFO since 2016, by two years with an option for an additional one-year extension.
