He served as Chief Operating Officer beginning in July 2011 and was appointed President in March 2013. Dr Burke first joined the company in December 2009, serving as Chief Executive Officer and President of LeTourneau Technologies until the sale of LeTourneau in June 2011. From 2006 to 2009, Dr Burke was a Division President at Complete Production Services, an oilfield services company, and from 2004 to 2006, served as its Vice President for Corporate Development. Prior to that, he worked at McKinsey &amp; Company and Schlumberger.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Burke received a PhD in Engineering from Trinity College, the University of Oxford, a Bachelors in Engineering with honors from the Heriot-Watt University in Scotland, and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was awarded a Baker Scholarship.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_40440\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-40440\" style=\"width: 115px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-40440\" src=\"https:\/\/drillingcontractor.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/img_vpd-chris_beckett.png\" alt=\"Christopher Beckett\" width=\"115\" height=\"160\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-40440\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Christian Beckett<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Christian Beckett<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chris Beckett has served as chief executive officer of Pacific Drilling since April 2008 and as a member of the board of directors since March 2011. He has more than 20 years&rsquo; experience in the energy industry.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining Pacific Drilling, Mr Beckett led the strategic business development and planning group at Transocean Ltd. from 2004 to 2008. From 2001 to 2004, he served at McKinsey &amp; Company, Inc., where he provided strategic and operating advice to global energy companies and governments. And from 1990 to 2001, he worked for Schlumberger Limited in a series of international management roles with increasing responsibilities. Mr Massey continues to instill these values in the REACH Culture today. Since founding REACH, he has led the company to operate in over 42 countries, and prides himself on the diverse culture of employees that has been created through working globally. Mr Massey is an industry leader with his knowledge of Performance, Safety and Leadership Implementations and has himself facilitated over 100 DWOP, CWOP, TWOP and Leadership Development workshops in 14 countries. He has had numerous speaking engagements which include the University of Oklahoma School of Petroleum Engineering, Association of American Drilling Engineers, American Society of Quality and most recently in Lisbon, at the GALP Open Petroleum Day. Under his leadership, REACH implemented an extensive internal Leadership Development program, an internal quality audit system, a Client Satisfaction system and became ISO 9001:2008 certified.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to founding, REACH Mr Massey worked as a Performance Improvement Coach in the offshore drilling industry. Mr Massey has roots as a self-starter, beginning with his first company, Aloe Vera de Costa Rica, where he was the Vice President. He expanded farm operations by 300%, improving the plant efficiency by 167% in the first year. Mr Massey started his career at Continental Pipeline (Conoco) as an Administrative Analyst in Billings, Montana.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Massey earned his Bachelors of Business Administrations from the University of Oklahoma, before returning in 1996 to complete his MBA with honors.
